Of course, that's not as helpful for IDing purposes. :)Jackiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12970663986904985005[email protected]tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6670240581789114113.post-71979274047996122642009-02-19T11:14:00.000+09:002009-02-19T11:14:00.000+09:00I learned the same sedge/grass/rush saying in a sp...I learned the same sedge/grass/rush saying in a spring plants class at UofM. I'm going to look into the sedge lawns more and maybe try it in some areas.Maggiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00442002530901345199[email protected]tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6670240581789114113.post-62311879791428510132009-02-16T12:29:00.000+09:002009-02-16T12:29:00.000+09:00When I was 12 to 13, I was on a bog tour on Beaver...When I was 12 to 13, I was on a bog tour on Beaver Island, MI. A CMU biologist was leading the tour and I as easily the youngest person there. I'm pretty sure he didn't expect there to be any youngins there, because he told the saying slightly differently:<BR/><BR/>"Sedges have edges, reeds are round, and grasses, like a--es, have holes."<BR/><BR/>Of course, after saying this he looked up at my mom and me and blushed. But she just said, "oh, don't worry!"Mike Ghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14179679490637567601[email protected]
