I returned to the U.S. for a year and then moved back to work at an Eikaiwa on Shikoku. I know exactly what you mean about it feeling like home. I lived in Sapporo for two years and on Shikoku for one year (more than 15 years ago). Anyway, there wasn't much in the way of farmer's markets at that time. I wonder if those spots have them now.
