While out roaming Nihonbashi in September with some visitors, I snapped this photo of what looks to me like a white version of Red Lycoris. As pretty as their counterparts, the white lycoris seems to have similar growth habits - flowering in the fall followed by leaves later - as the red. While not as common as the red the white certainly is a lovely bloom and a refreshing surprise this time of year. For more photos and stories about this hike and the great gardens we found, check out Everyday Gardens.
